Weirdest Ice Cream Flavors From Around The World

world's strangest ice creamFrom Japan to Venezuela to Delaware, there are some seriously disturbing ice cream flavors residing on earth. Makes you wonder who would actually eat this stuff and why I’ve never been so thankful to be lactose intolerant in my whole life.

In Merida, Venezuela, there’s an ice cream shop that currently offers 892 ice cream flavors – each a little less palatable than the last. The number has grown over the years. It’s held the Guinness Book of World Records for most flavors for 15 years. Here’s just a small sampling of their oh-so nauseating flavors: Spaghetti Bolognese Ice Cream, Tuna Fish Ice Cream, Onion Ice Cream, Fried Pork Rind, Beet and Corn Ice Cream and my favorite … Rose Ice Cream. (Inhale a lovely bouquet … and/or eat it.)  world's weirdest ice cream flavors

Japan wins the prize – hands-down — for the biggest array of ice cream flavors that took a turn for the worst. Ever heard of Octopus Ice Cream? Well, it’s quite popular in Japan. Not sure which part is used in the ice cream … and not sure I want to know.

Squid, squid gut and squid ink ice cream are also taste bud tantalizers. Why just eat whole chunks of squid in your dairy delight when you could mix and match to your heart’s desire? Squid innards are a condiment in Japan – so it now makes perfect sense, yes? (Blech.)

Perhaps the flavor that will leave you the most repulsed is Raw Horseflesh Ice Cream. It wins the prize for vilest ice cream ever created. (From the horse’s mouth … to God’s ears.) Try it and you’ll soon realize why horseflesh is typically used in dog food.

most disgusting ice cream in the worldNot to be outdone, chill-seekers in Delaware can visit Udder Delight Ice Cream House for some outlandish ice cream flavors including Bacon and Butterfat Ice Cream and Barbecue Flavor Ice Cream. The one that left me scratching my head though was Mushroom and Pecan Ice Cream … heinous on so many levels.

Seems wherever you go in the world, unappealing ice cream flavors can range from the unthinkable to the unimaginable. Remember – you can’t spell delicacy with out “i-c-e”. Just Sayin’.
