Holly Rilinger is currently one of the most sought after personal trainers in New York City. Her spin class at Flywheel Sports can be harder to get into than most Broadway shows! In fact, some of those she’s trained include Broadway stars and other celebrities such as: Matthew Broderick, Melissa George, Jimmy Fallon and Katie Couric.
Holly is also the founder and creator of TRAINING CAMP, an outdoor program designed to help women unleash their inner athlete and get mentally and physically fit. Holly recently launched DESTINATION TRAINING CAMP where she takes her show and clients on the road, visiting the most interesting and beautiful places in the world while sweating, breathing and laughing.
Holly is now bringing her training tips and classes directly to women on MoxieQ with her blog, Sweat Breathe Laugh.
Holly’s wellness philosophy is rooted in balance and is a culmination of her life experiences. Her motto is “sweat. breathe. laugh.” and represents the union of physical, mental and emotional health she believes helps everyone reach their ultimate well being. Through a mixture of intense training, yoga and FUN you can discover your happiest and healthiest self.
Standing at 5’4 Holly defied all odds with her anything-is-possible mentality and reached one of her greatest dreams by playing professional basketball. For the first 30 years of Holly’s life she trained as an elite athlete constantly pushing to be the best. Through discipline, hard work and heart, she reached goal after goal and was one of the best point guards in the country.
At the age of 18, Holly was named by USA TODAY as the #1 freshman point guard in America. She went on to be James Madison’s All Time Leading scorer (men or women) as well as a Strength and Conditioning All-American.
As a pro, Holly traveled the world playing for teams in Germany, France, New Zealand and finally making a cameo appearance with The WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury.
It wasn’t until recently that Holly found yoga and surfing which have transformed her life. Holly’s journey through yoga has taught her how to breathe deeply and enjoy the moment. Through surfing Holly has learned to surrender to something much bigger than her and to trust.
It is the union of these two philosophies and training styles where Holly finds the perfect balance and hopes to bring that to others.
Holly currently resides in Chelsea in NYC. When Holly’s not doing yoga or surfing you can find her discovering new music at concerts, exploring NYC’s amazing restaurant scene or taking dancing and acting lessons.
