David Blackstock is a celebrity stylist and owner of Salon Six 9 in Fort Worth, Texas. He is stylist and hair artist to clients across the US, including Hollywood legends Mamie Van Doren and Ruta Lee, while counting among his friends celebrity icons such as Gennifer Flowers, Ruth Buzzi, and Debbie Reynolds. His talent has also garnered him the opportunity to work with many entertainment personalities including Carol Channing, Phyllis Diller, Stephanie Powers, and Joann Worley. Additionally, David’s career was influenced by his longtime friend and mentor, Mr. Blackwell, who always supported his journey to becoming a celebrity style consultant. As the region’s most talented, multi-faceted stylist and consultant, David celebrates over 20 years in the celebrity style genre.
David’s work has been seen in a variety of media such as on Broadway (Boobs: The Musical), television programming including CNN’s Larry King Live, NBC’s The Today Show, ABC’s Politically Incorrect, CBS’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigators, and Showtime’s La La Land, as well as The Biography Channel and celebrity news program, The Insider. Additionally, David often collaborates on special projects with Hollywood celebrity photographer, Alan Mercer.
David also celebrates philanthropy, including The Thalians, a Los Angeles based organization whose mission it is to educate and enlighten the world about mental illness, thereby eliminating the stigma attached to it. He believes in giving back so that others may find opportunity to realize their individual potential as well.
David resides in Fort Worth, Texas, with his longtime partner, Tony Colbert, and their three Pekingese, Sugar, Lucy, and Betsie.
