As I was ordering my salad this week, I sat back and observed the woman in front of me picking her toppings. Her toppings included: goat cheese, cranberries, croutons, a mixture of vegetables and GOBS of salad dressing. I thought to myself …”you might as well go down to Joe’s Pizza on Carmine and have 3 slices of Pizza. It will be the same amount of calories and SO MUCH MORE FUN!” Just because something seems healthy does not necessarily mean it is after you have killed it with calories. Read More »

Here are five of the best fitness tools I see on the rise in 2012. They are actually a good blend of old and new. We are embracing techniques that are tried and true- a “going back to the basics” if you will, as well as embracing the future at the same time. We are broadening our brush stroke by combining different methods of workouts and the results should be refreshing and fun! Read More »

It’s the end of 2011 and we are all starting to focus on New Year’s Resolutions. But, before we jump to setting our goals I think it’s a good time to reflect on the year that we are wrapping up. It’s hard to understand exactly where we want to go without taking a moment to reflect. Read More »

Holiday season means travel and that means we step out of our routines. Many of us go home where we do not have access to a gym or we have limited time to spend on our fitness routines. Not all of us follow a routine religiously and a week away from our gym or fitness program can be a slippery slope. If you are someone who is easily derailed then you need to make sure you plan on working out while you are away. So, I’ve designed an easy, effective Holiday Fitness Program that requires little to no equipment to help you stay on track. Read More »

Let’s all just get real with ourselves for a hot holiday minute. The month of December is typically teed up to be a nutritional nightmare. We all had some sort of conversation with ourselves at the end of November, vowing not to wreak havoc on our routines and here we are looking at our party-heavy schedules. Many excuses and opportunities to destroy what we’ve worked so hard to accomplish so here’s my holiday ammunition to help you keep those nasty pounds away… Read More »

This past week I took 8 women south of the border to Tulum, Mexico for my inaugural DESTINATION TRAINING CAMP. For five days we worked out, practiced yoga, relaxed on the beach, got plenty of rest, ate amazing healthy food and had FUN. My vision for these excursions is to get everyone to SWEAT, BREATHE AND LAUGH. Read More »

So often we criticize, scrutinize, and complain about the dating options available to us. We can pick anyone apart or find any excuse as to why someone is not “good” enough. This last weekend I led a workshop in L.A. with my friend and teacher, Rev. Jennifer Hadley, on “Spiritual Dating”; I hope this simple process will help empower your approach to dating and attracting your ‘ideal’… Read More »

I decided to take note as to how men were speaking to women around me. I made it a point to simply listen in to conversations at the gym, local restaurants, movie theaters, etc. My intention was to get a better idea of how men speak to women when they don’t think anyone is listening-in. Needless to say, for the most part… I was disappointed. Read More »

Demystify the idea that sex isn’t empowering and spiritual. Everything you do can be empowering and spiritual. It’s time to liberate yourself (and your hoo-ha) and scream from the mountain top (or head board) – “Buckle Up People, it’s about to get crazy in here!” Read More »

If she raises her voice, she’s a bitch. If she fires an incompetent employee, she’s a bitch. If she likes her latte a certain way, she’s a bitch. There is a lot of pain encoded into the energy of that word. It has been used to break the spirits and speed of women for years, personally and professionally… Read More »

As a transformation coach, I find that when creating change, clarity as to what is driving your motivations is essential for powerful growth to occur. So I ask, “what fuels the need for women to mutilate & alter their appearance with plastic surgery”? How often do you tell yourself, “Jesus, you’re fat”… Read More »

Men, believe it or not, should treat you with love and respect. I know it’s easy to read that statement and agree with me, but it seems there’s a breakdown with the application of this principle…

I was hired as a chef this weekend to cater a very fancy dinner party by the beach. While making dessert, we started discussing some celebrity, The Olsen Twins, I think. My assistant said something a little cutting, as many of us do when referring to… Read More »
