Hatfields & McCoys Cordially Invite You...
Tuesday September 7th, 2010
From: Unsure, Houston, Tx
Dear Mr. Moxie,
Dear Mr. Moxie, my fiance & I are getting married in February. The thing is, his family doesn't like me. And, my family doesn't like him. Should we just skip the wedding and go straight to the justice of the peace? Or, have our wedding and risk disaster? Please help.
There's a reason they separate the church into a bride's side and a groom's side. But, the families need to suck it up and just deal. Have the wedding if that's the day you've dreamed of for years. Tell both families upfront, if they can't even pretend to be happy or supportive, then their invitations will be revoked. Don't let anyone stop you from having what you want. And, if I were you, I'd consider a cash bar at the reception.
